While OnePlus in basking in its glory for the launch of their 3rd flagship, there was some news that came to light that might have gone unseen/unheard. Those of you who enjoyed their take on their mid-level OnePlus X, sad news awaits you. Don’t expect a sequel to it.
The folks over at Engadget talked w/ the company’s CEO Peter Lau at the OnePlus 3’s Chinese launch and got the exact details on the matter. The company has decided to focus more on their flagships moving forward. Let’s face it as well-designed as the X was, not having LTE onboard really hurt the device getting any love here in the US. So it probably wasn’t worthwhile to even make any more or they’re going to regroup to revisit going mid-level at a later time under a new moniker.
