Yesterday afternoon, We got a chance to check out the unveiling of a new company’s 1st line of products. Namely, Como Audio and their Solo & Duetto Hi-Fi audio systems. The company is led by audio innovator Tom DeVesto who is responsible for Tivoli Audio, Cambridge Soundworks, and more.
Now onto to the products themselves. The Solo is the smaller of the duo as it offers a 2.8inch color display while the Duetto has a 3.2inch one. Both are powered by a 3inch woofer, tweeter, and a 60-watt digital amp inside of a hardwood box. But the larger Duetto has a much bigger sound w/ a stereo setup. All work together to help pump out quality Hi-Fi audio.
Think of it as a BoomBox 2.0 or a new-and-improved version of Internet Radio.
Both systems support over 20,000 stations of Internet radio, Spotify, Bluetooth, NFC, FM radio w/ its own antenna, DLNA, 4 inputs, optical input for Hi-Fi TV sound, and works hand-in-hand w/ Google’s Chromecast & Amazon Dot. So yeah, that should dispel any debates of a Bluetooth speaker being superior in any way.
Both systems are available via Kickstarter right now starting at $179 for the Solo and $275 for the Duetto. Como Audio will bring their systems to retail/online later this fall. The retail pricing will be $299 for the Solo & $399 for the Duetto. So you if you’re interested, you might want to jump on their Kickstarter.
