Yesterday the folks over at the Wall Street Journal dropped some details about the upcoming iPhone set to arrive in the fall. They’re usually spot on w/ any Apple-related info so if they said it, then it is probably true.
Expect to see a faster 6S w/o a headphone jack.
For starters, don’t expect a drastic change in the iPhone 7 as it will be pretty close to what the 6 & the 6S. So the changes will be relatively small other than ditching the headphone jack to finally add a sort of water-resistance. We previously heard a lot of chatter about will they or won’t they. If you were paying attention to the newer Bluetooth earbuds and less wired headphones, you knew it was coming. The water-resistance is a bit of a surprise as it was on the list of many but you may have thought it wouldn’t happen. They will also keep the 4.7 & 5.5inch screen sizes. Apparently, Apple is adjusting the typical 2-year design change schedule this time around.
Those new changes everyone is anticipating will arrive for the iPhone 7S or whatever the 2017-iPhone will be called. Still, nothing final but that rumor mill has features/specs out there like a curved, edge-to-edge OLED display w/ a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the screen. Whatever the case, it will be big as the company will be celebrating the iPhone’s 10-year anniversary. No word on that dual camera setup that is supposed to arrive on the 7 Plus either.
Anyone still interested in iPhones or have they lost their luster for you?
