Earlier this week, Alcatel unveiled their US plans for the Idol 4S. Originally unveiled back in February at Mobile World Congress, Alcatel is looking to show the world what their version of an affordable but premium flagship should look like.
This offers up a 5.5inch QHD AMOLED display, powered by a Snapdragon 652 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage expandable via microSD, running Android 6.0.1, a f/2.0 16MP rear-facing camera w/ dual LED flash + 4K video + phase detection auto-focus, 8MP front-facing camera, fingerprint scanner on the rear, and a 3000 mAh battery.
Lastly, you have the BoomKey on the side of the device which offers a multi-function key. This allows you to boost the music/bass in the Music app, create a collage of photos in Photos app, and more w// a touch of button as it can be programmed to do a variety of things. All of this w/ a beautiful glass body (front/back) that looks simply marvelous in person.
The Idol 4S comes w/ everything you would need w/ a new smartphone like a tempered glass screen protector, a case, and a more comfortable VR headset at no additional cost. Pre-orders kick off today for only $350 and after August 3rd, the pricing goes up to $400.
