We’re just about less than a month from the iPhone of 2016 and more intel makes its way to light about this year & next year’s model. The latest intel arrives courtesy of Mark Gurman now of Bloomberg as he reports an iconic part of the iPhone is about to disappear.
You might want to pass on this year’s iPhone.
To celebrate their 10-year anniversary of the iPhone, Apple will pull out all of the stops for this one. According to the report, be prepared to say deuces to the infamous Home button everyone knows and loves. Removing the Home button will have Apple replace Touch ID by integrating the sensor into the display somehow. Apple will replace it w/ a single piece of glass that will utilize OLED display technology. But that won’t be all that’s new.
But that won’t be all that’s new. Also, said to arrive w/ the 2017 iPhone is a curved edge-to-edge display like the Galaxy S7 Edge. The new panel will integrate sensors to make it behave like the trackpad on their super lightweight MacBooks. And lastly, there are talks of possibly 3 models coming in 2017 w/ a 4.7inch, 5.5inch, and a 5.5inch Pro version.
The iPhone of this year will add a pressure-sensitive Home button, a boost of 3GB of RAM, dual cameras on the rear, and no more headphone jack. So you now have even more reason to wait until next year’s iPhone and skip this one. Next year will apparently have better goodies w/ it.
