Word around town is that Lenovo/Motorola will be unveiling some new Moto Mods at IFA 2016 sometime within the next week or 2. Some intel has emerged on one in particular, a new camera Mod from the legendary medium-format company: Hasselblad. Now don't expect it to turn your Moto Z into an exact Hasselblad camera but hopefully it can get close.
The new Mod will be called the Hasselblad True Zoom Camera to be exact. It will offer up several features like a 10x optical zoom /w a 4.5mm focal length + f/3.5-f/6 aperture, Xenon flash, physical shutter/zoom button, automatic backup, and the option for RAW shooting as well. This will transform your Moto Z into a compact point-and-shoot.
With the Hasselblad name, I know this won't be cheap but it can't be too expensive if they actually plan on selling these. I am more curious about how it will beef up the cameras on the Moto Z. I didn't have any complaints about them. The shooters are better than other Moto devices but still lacking a bit compared to the rest fo the Android hierarchy.
Time will tell. Thoughts on this?
