A few days ago, Tesla announced a new + faster version of the Model S w/ the P100D w/ Ludicrous mode. How fast might you ask? It is said to be the 3rd fastest accelerating car ever produced going 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. All of this is thanks to their latest 100 kWh battery inside.
This new speed demon can best tons of vehicles out on the market right now in the speed department.
The new battery does more than just beef up the speed, it also increases the range too. It will help you get around 315 miles on a single charge making this the longest range on an electric car. The bigger battery will be available for the Model X as well to make it the faster SUV w/ it going 0-60 in 2.9 seconds + 289 miles on a single charge.
Those of you who ordered a P90D Ludicrous but haven’t gotten it delivered, you can upgrade to 100 kWh for an extra $10,000. Those of you who already have the P90D, can upgrade for $20,000. As far as the P100D in Ludicrous Mode, it will start at $134,500. Definitely gonna cost you to get that speed but if you can swing, I can imagine that it would be worth it.
