This year, both LG & Motorola took a different approach to its design language for their Android flagship smartphones. Modularity is the way they went for both. LG’s G5 came 1st w/ their add-ons and recently, Motorola joined the party w/ the Moto Z and their snap-on Moto Mods. We decided to pit the 2 against each other to see which of the 2 offer up the better experience.
Our battle format this time around is broken down into 4 parts: Display, Performance, Camera, & Add-Ons. They both have a QHD display, Snapdragon 820 CPU w/ 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage w/ microSD expansion, and a 5MP front-facing shooter. There are differences in the type of screen panel technology involved, battery sizes, rear camera specs, and how the add-on pieces attach to these devices.
Out of everything listed on their specs sheets, we let you know our take on the which of the 2 we deem as the winner. AMOLED vs IPS, standard 16MP vs dual camera setup, Moto Mods vs LG Friends. Our G5 & Moto Z Battle awaits you below.
