With the Nintendo Switch right around the corner (like next week around the corner), we got some new intel that you might be interested. Especially if you’ve already pre-ordered one. This is something to keep in mind if you plan on buying your games digitally instead of physical game cards.
The sizes of games will easily surpass the onboard storage. When you boot up your Switch, you’ll have 25.9GB of storage at your disposal. The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will take up 13.4GB, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe takes up 7GB, and the Dragon Quest Heroes 1 & 2 takes up 32GB.
The Switch itself has a built-in 32GB storage so if you plan on downloading titles, you might want to either go for the physical cards or invest in a massive-sized microSD card for your console.
So you might want to avoid the whole downloading games digitally thing until external hard drives can be supported.
