If you’re in the market of buying an iPad within the next few weeks, you might want to hold up. Why might you ask? Well, word on the street is that Apple is prepping for an iPad event sometime next month.
We’ll see the iPad mini 4 get updated to a 7.9inch Pro, a new 10.5inch flagship slate, and updates to the 9.7inch & 12.9inch tablets. This will completely transform all iPads into the Pro line of Apple tablets. The 7.9inch will get the Pro treatment by offering a Smart Connector, a TrueTone display, 4 speakers, and a 12MP rear-facing iSight camera w/ TrueTone flash. Back to the 10.5inch Pro, it is said to sport a new edge-to-edge design w/o a Home button but will be around the same size as the 9.7inch model. The 12.9inch Pro is said to get a TrueTone display and a 12MP rear-facing camera upgrade from the 8MP on the current models.
The 10.5inch & 12.9inch models are said to by powered by Apple’s A10X while the smaller ones will offer the A9X chipset. All of the new iPad Pros will allegedly add quad mics to go w/ the quad stereo speakers as well.
But wait, there’s more. Apple won’t be killing off the iPhone SE as it will be adding another storage option for it. A 128GB storage option will join the 16GB & 64GB sizes. The iPhone 7/7 Plus will get a new Red color option. Not sure if this will be (Product) Red or nah. And lastly, new bands for the Apple Watch.
Anyone excited over this or waiting for the bigger announcements later this year?
