Yesterday, Samsung made it official. They announced that the upcoming unveiling for the awaited Galaxy S8. Previous leaks, reports, and rumors more or less have given us everything we need to know.
The S8 will arrive in 2 sizes: a 5.8inch size w/ 3000 mAh battery & a 6.2inch size w/ a 3500 mAh battery and both sporting Super AMOLED QHD displays. As far as the internals, it will offer a Snapdragon 835 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage expandable via microSD, 8MP front-facing + 12MP rear-facing DualPixel camera, Iris scanner, IP68 dust/water resistance, and earphones from AKG courtesy of the recent Harman acquisition.
Also, it is said to have a newer digital assistant onboard called Bixby and a dock accessory that turns your S8 into a desktop device. It’s happening on March 29th in NYC at 11AM and we’ll be there live to cover everything they have to show off that day.
