Last night, the leak God @evleaks, dropped some news many of us have been waiting for: when we can expect that Pixel 2 announcement. More specifically, the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL is set to be unveiled on October 5th.
While many of us were expecting it to run a Snapdragon 835 processor, @evleaks suggests that it will get the new, unreleased 836 chipset which will be a step up the 835. Similar to the original Pixel w/ the 821 bump up from the 820. Interesting.
We’re expecting a 4.9inch 1080p display on the Pixel & a 5.9inch QHD display on the Pixel 2 XL. Both w/ 4GB of RAM, dual front-facing speakers, always-on display, a squeezable frame like the HTC U11, no headphone jack, larger camera sensor, and running Oreo. Along w/ the Pixel 2 announcement, we’re also said to get a smaller version of Google Home, a new 2-in-1 Chromebook Pixel, and possibly Bluetooth headphones w/ Google Assistant built-in.
It sounds like a long wait but it’s damn-near only a month away. I’m excited about this as I feel the original Pixel had the best camera in Android. What do you thin k about it all?
