Looks like Apple may be working more hardware for later this year. More specifically, a more high-end version of the AirPods in the form of high-quality headphones. This new bit of news is courtesy of Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities who usually drops some gems on what to expect from the house of Jobs.
The vision for these headphones would be to offer the same convenience as their AirPods but w/ even better audio quality. So w/ these being headphones they will definitely cost more than the $160 AirPods. If I were a gambling man, I would say around the $350 price point but there’s no intel suggesting what the exact price point would be.
I wonder would this be the end of Beats as Apple would completely consume them w/ this move. Only time will tell. The newer high-end headphones are reported to launch later this year. This would be alongside the updated AirPods & 3 versions of the iPhone X.
