After dropping the ball several times w/ the past few software updates from a few devices bricking, battery drains, & more.  Yesterday, Apple dropped a new update to fix some of the battery issues and add more treats w/ iOS 11.3.

The update brings forth new things like:

  • Battery management (beta) for the iPhone 7 / 7 Plus, SE, 6S / 6S Plus, 6 / 6 Plus
  • New AR Kit features like allowing apps to read vertical surfaces like walls and doors, and irregular objects like chairs or circular tables.
  • Medical record storage
  • Business Chat to sort of DM companies customer service via iMessage
  • 4 new Animojis: a lion, bear, dragon, and skull.
  • Apple Music now streams music videos uninterrupted by ads. Users can watch the hottest new videos, classics or ones from their favorite artists back-to-back in new music video playlists.
  • Apple TV app, a unified place for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV users to discover and start watching the best shows and movies, will launch in Brazil and Mexico. These markets join Apple TV app users in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden and the UK.
  • HomeKit software authentication provides a great new way for developers to add HomeKit support to existing accessories while protecting privacy and security.

Along w/ these new things for iOS, we also have a new update for macOS, watchOS, & HomeKit as well.  Hopefully, this time around they have done a better job w/ this update of iOS.  Have you grabbed the update and how do you like it?
