HP wanted to get into the Chrome OS tablet action but wanted to mix it up a bit. Introducing the Chromebook x2: a Chrome OS tablet w/ a keyboard attachment a la Surface style. It looks like a mesh of the Surface & the Pixelbook.
The new x2 offers a 12.3inch touchscreen display w/ a 2400 x 1600 resolution, powered by an Intel Core m3 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage expandable via microSD slot, a 5MP front-facing camera + 13MP rear-facing camera, 2 USB-C ports, stylus, headphone jack, a 10.5-hour battery life, and stereo speakers tuned by Bang & Olufsen.
With HP on board, looks like we will see a lot more Chrome OS tablets moving forward. If you’re interested, you’re gonna have to wait a bit. The x2 ain’t coming out until the summer on June 10th.
