Fresh off of going public w/ their stock, Spotify has some news to share w/ us later this month. On Friday, they sent out save the dates for an event happening on April 24th. As you can see above, it just says a news announcement but we have an idea of what may be unveiled.
Apparently, we're gonna see an in-car music player that works w/ your voice. There's word that it may support Amazon's Alexa assistant. The image of it above shows off a circular design w/ physical buttons for track control & to shuffle as well as an LED light. It could have its own 4G LTE mobile data so you won't need to use your smartphone's data. There's talk of a the device comes w/ those who pay for a $13 or a $15 per month subscription.
I'm curious to see if this is what Spotify is working on or not. Other than that, I'll reserve opinions until an actual reveal. What do you guys think of this?
