Next up for what’s new at I/O is new tricks for Google Assistant. If it wasn’t already powerful enough, its getting new features like more voices, continued conversations, multiple actions, books appointments, make calls, and Maps integration.
So kicking things off w/ 6 new voices for the Assistant including John Legend for a limited time. The new voices will be available starting today. Coming soon over the next few weeks will bring forth continued conversations for a more natural conversation w/ the Assistant after saying ‘OK, Google’. With Multiple Actions, you’ll be able to ask several questions in one prompt like ‘who’s the star in Deadpool 2 and when does it come out?’
And thanks to a new technology called Google Duplex, you will be able to make calls via Assistant to businesses & book appointments – even set the time/date for it as well. And lastly, we got Assistant coming to Google Maps later this summer. You’ll be able to add text messages, play music/podcasts, & get info all while still inside of Maps.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, right?
