Remember Comcast’s $65 billion bid to buy 21st Century Fox away from the mouse?  Well, Disney isn’t taking it lying down.  Yesterday, they dropped their counter offer that ups their bid to $71.3 billion or $38 per share.  That’s almost $20 billion more than their original $52.4 billion deal.

Fox has actually agreed to the terms but that doesn’t mean that you can count Comcast out completely.  They can still counter bid as the deal still has to go through Fox’s shareholders & federal regulations.  Fox’s board of directors was originally set to vote on the Disney deal on July 10th.  Because of all of this back-and-forth, it has been postponed to a future date.  The most interesting thing is that it sounds like Fox is leaning towards Disney over Comcast.

So the possibility of Fantastic Four & X-Men arriving to the MCU isn’t dead- yet.  So before Comcast counters again, which company would you prefer Fox to be under?

21st Century Fox
