Earlier today, Samsung announced the rumored update to their Chromebook Plus w/ the Plus V2. This will add some notable updates to the 2017 model to make it faster & more effective. Last year’s model offered USB-C, headphone jack, microSD card slot, and support for Android apps.
The Chromebook Plus V2is now powered by an Intel Celeron CPU instead of an ARM one, a new keyboard to better resist small spills, and a f/1.9 13MP rear-facing camera. Other than that, you got 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage expandable up to 400GB, built-in S Pen, and a downgraded 12.2inch 1080p display as last year’s had a 2400 x 1600 resolution panel.
So this is a weird one as you got some upgrades and one huge downgrade w/ the slightly higher price tag. This will cost you $500 while last year’s model was priced at $450. However you feel about it, will be available at Best Buy (online & in-stores) on June 24th.
Is this a Chromebook you might want to pick up?
