Today, Motorola made the previously-leaked Moto Z3 Play official. First things first, they didn’t bring the battery back to its original size so it will be more like last year’s model. Along w/ that, you’ll have more flagship options within this mid-range device.

You’ll have a larger 6inch 1080p AMOLED display w/ Gorilla Glass 3, powered by a Snapdragon 636 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB storage size expandable via microSD, an 8MP selfie camera, dual rear-facing cameras w/ a 12MP + 5MP sensors, Google Lens in the camera, 4 mics for Google Assistant, fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone under the volume rocker, splash-resistant (not quite water-resistant), running Android 8.0 Oreo w/ Moto UI that brings Moto Display + Actions, and a 3000 mAh battery w/ fast-charging.

The Moto Z3 Play arrives later this summer unlocked for $499 but w/ a smaller footprint in regards to carrier support. This year, only Sprint & US Cellular picked this up as AT&T and Verizon passed on this one.

Anyone looking to drop $500 on this or spend it elsewhere?
