This year Nintendo went the smarter route by focusing on games arriving in the near future rather than stuff for next year.  Although, some news on Metroid Prime 4 would have been nice.  But we got GameCube controller support for the upcoming Super Smash Bros, so that’s something.  The full showcase was under 50 mins so they weren’t trying to eat up most of your time.  But we got the bigger game trailers below for your convenience.

Kicking things off is the fan-favorite: Smash Bros – more specifically, Super Smash Bros Ultimate.   This will offer over 60 characters to choose from including those form Smash Bros past (regular & DLC ones).  You’ll even have Ridley, the boss from Metroid fame added into the mix.  You’ll have to wait until the holiday season as this won’t be out until December 7th for the Switch.

It seems like Fortnite is popping up everywhere.  You can add another platform w/ the Switch.  Not only that but you won’t have to wait for it as it is available right now – for free.  You can grab it from the eShop as you’ll have the full Fortnite Battle Royale experience coming soon.

Next up, we have the arrival of Super Mario Party to the Switch console.  It looks as if it will take full advantage of the Switch’s features to really make Switch parties a thing when this comes out.  And when is that?  A few months away on October 5th.

Speaking of popular Nintendo titles making its way to the Switch, we got Fire Emblem to be added to that list.  This is Fire Emblem: Three Houses which is a strategy-based game where you can command legions of troops on the battlefield but in a larger world.  This is due out sometime in the Spring of 2019.

Dragon Ball Fighter Z.  Dragon Ball Z-based fighting game for the Switch.  There isn’t really much else to say about this one.  This game will be out later this year.

This is a new one.  We got mech-based action game here.  The mechs you control are called an Arsenal and be customized w/ weapons at any time to find other mech & machines.  This one is due out sometime in 2019.
