After E3 2018, there were talks of a new Xbox console set to arrive soon.  I know, I know.  I felt the same way when I heard the news like sigh.  They just dropped the Xbox One X and then another one.  But recent info has it making a bit more sense even though the timing still sucks.

The folks over at Thurrott got info on what we can expect from the upcoming console.  It won’t be a new one just to be a new one but more adapting to the future of how Microsoft thinks gaming will work.  The new console will work like the current ones do but add a cloud-only feature to work w/ their game streaming service.

It is said to offer lower processing specs at a lower price as the computing would be done online while lowering the latency.  They also put the cloud-based console out for 2020 alongside another device for some godforsaken reason.  Just as long as the gaming experience is worthwhile, it should be fine.  Although, I doubt this will help Xbox catch up to PlayStation w/ the sales though.  This might even work against them in the long run.

But these are reports so we’ll have to wait and see what actually comes into fruition.  Is anyone actually interested in a cloud-based Xbox or is this a waste?
