Now that many of you are unboxing your Galaxy Note 9s, there is a tidbit of info that you might want to know. If you’re looking to dive into Settings & disable the Bixby button, you won’t find that option there.
Bixby 2.0 is on the Note 9 but most reviews are still giving it a hard pass on it. So just like the few previous Galaxy devices, you will have to deal w/ it at launch. Or just deal w/ a 3rd-party remapping button within the Play Store in the meantime.
Samsung may just offer the official option to disable later via update like they did last year. So until Bixby gets useful, you’ll have to do a workaround for it. Samsung will add more Bixby features later this fall at their Developers Conference. That may save it or not. If this happens or Bixby improves, we’ll keep you posted.
