Sony’s 1000X-series of headphones have been gaining tons of popularity among the tech influencer crowd. After only 2 iterations, they’ve gained quite a following as some folks prefer these over the Bose QCs for flights. Today, they unveiled the 3rd-generation of these cans that might make these the ultimate headphones.
These might be the new champs of noise-canceling & best all-around headphones.
Introducing the Sony 1000X M3: more sound, more noise-canceling, & more comfort. For the most part, the design is more or less at first glance. When you get closer, you get a slimmer band & thicker cushions for the earcups for a more comfortable fit to use even longer. If you thought their noise-canceling was good before, it just got even better. This is thanks to Sony’s new QN1: their HD Noise Cancelling Processor. This will get you 4x the power to block out noise than the previous generation.
And thanks to them blocking out the noise better, this leads to better audio quality. So this gives you more clarity, bass, & more as you have a 32-bit DAC inside along w/ amp. Since these are Bluetooth headphones, you get the higher-end quality codecs for better quality thanks to AAC, AptX, & LDAC support.
You got USB-C port for faster charging that gives you 5 hours of juice on a 10-minute charge. Speaking of battery life, these are giving you a total of 30 hours of battery on a single charge w/ noise-cancellation turned on. All while having access to Google Assistant w/ a touch of a button. That’s kind of crazy.
The 1000X M3 are set to launch next week on September 4th for $350. It might sound on the high side but its exactly what Bose charges for their QuietComfort 35 IIs.
Will these be your next pair of headphones?
