Early this morning, Samsung unveiled their newest premium Android tablet w/ the Galaxy Tab S4. This is more powerful than last year’s Tab S3 and is more equipped to combat Apple’s iPad Pro line – not their standard iPads.
The Tab S4 offers a 10.5inch Super AMOLED display w/ 2560 x 1600 resolution, powered by Snapdragon 835 CPU, 4GB of RAM, choice of 64GB or 256GB of internal storage expandable up to 400GB via microSD card, a 8MP front-facing camera + 13MP auto-focus rear-facing camera w/ flash, 4 speakers tuned by AKG w/ Dolby Atmos support, running Android 8.1 Oreo, and packing a 7300 mAh battery inside w/ Fast Charging.
Like previous models, it has an S Pen included where you can write notes, draw, navigate through the tablet, & more – like you would on a Note smartphone. Samsung’s keyboard case gets a new trick as when you connect, you’ll move into DeX’s desktop UI on the Tab S4 display. This sounds like it will make more sense on the tablet than on a smartphone.
The Galaxy Tab S4 will be available on August 10th at Amazon, Best Buy & Samsung. The 64GB Wi-Fi only model will cost you $650 while the 256GB storage option will cost you $750. The keyboard cover will cost you $150. Verizon is set to drop an LTE version as well on the 10th too w/ Sprint + US Cellular LTE models coming later.
Anyone in need of a new & powerful tablet?
