GoPro announced their new Hero line of action cameras w/ the Hero 7.   Now before you roll your eyes and think its just a moderate upgrade, it’s a little more than that.  Let me break it down for you all.

GoPro goes more social while still being an action cam.

The new GoPros are using their custom CPU from the Hero 6 but is now equipped w/ more RAM, it can perform a lot better.  With this, it can now record 4K @60fps, super slow motion, livestreaming, vertical short clips for Instagram, and a time-lapse mode paired w/ smooth digital image stabilization.  Other than that, you got the usual suspect of features like waterproof body, touchscreen LCD displays, voice control, and autosave via their cloud subscription service over Wi-Fi.

Now there are 3 different cameras in the Hero 7 line w/ the Black, Silver, & White.  The Hero 7 Silver caps out 4K video@30fps + 10MP photos w/ some slow-motion that caps@60fps. The Hero 7 White caps out 1440p video.

Pre-orders kick off today as they will go on sale on September 27th.  The Hero 7 White will cost you $200, the Hero 7 Silver $300, and the Hero 7 Black $400.

Who’s looking to upgrade their GoPro to one of these new ones?
