Details On The Samsung Galaxy S10 & Foldable Phone Emerge

While the October madness of new phones is coming to an end, we’re already getting info on flagships for 2019.  Namely: the Samsung Galaxy S10.  Being their 10th year of doing the Galaxy S-line of smartphones, this will be a big change in design & technology.  Similar to what Apple did last year w/ the iPhone X.

We might get 4 Samsung phones next year: 3 S10s & the folding phone.

According to the folks over at Bloomberg, we got a few details on what to expect.  First of all, we’re expecting not 2 but actually 3 devices this time around.  This means a updated S10, a S10 Plus, and more affordable version (similar to the iPhone Xr).

The S10 + S10 Plus is said to offer in-display fingerprint sensors, curved OLED displays, 3 cameras on the rear, front-facing camera tucked under the screen, & 5G capable chipset w/ Verizon here in the US.  No word on whether or not, the headphone jack will remain.  The affordable version is said to offer a fingerprint reader on the side of the device and lack the curved display.   We’re not sure what else would be omitted from this model.

Meanwhile the elusive folding phone is said to arrive next year as well.  It will open & fold like a wallet but don’t expect any in-display fingerprint reader on here.  It will have screens on both sides so you can utilize the 4inch screen when closed and a 7inch one when opened.

This should help make for a promising 2019 for smartphones.  Gotta love when new technology gets introduced as it can be a game-changer.  What’re your thoughts on it all?
