Yesterday, Google announced a pretty big update for Google Maps. The update is ideal for those of you commuting and enjoying music. You will be able to see real-time transit and control your music from within Maps as well.
On the transit part, you’ll get real-time info w/ multiple route options as it will let you know about leaving early if your route is busy. The real-time info gets improved too as it is now supported w/ the transit lines/companies in 80 regions across the world. On the music side, you’ll be able to control your favorite tunes via Google Play Music, Apple Music or Spotify. So that’s play/pause & skip tracks – all w/o having to leave the Maps app.
The update will begin rolling out sometime this week as it will be available for both Android & iOS. Who’s looking forward to utilizing the new features in Google Maps?
