Google Assistant is already pretty damn useful but now gets even better w/ the new feature. It is now a lot easier to book & compare Lyft/Uber on your smartphone or Google Home device.
Now you can say ‘Hey Google, book me a ride to the airport’ and get a comparative list between Lyft & Uber for pricing and which service has a driver closest to you. After that, you can just tap the option you want to go with and that’s it. Of course, you’ll still need to have both apps already on your phone for an accurate price comparison. Not the estimated one that pops up while using Google Maps.
It is currently available in English and is set to expand to more languages in the coming months. This would’ve been dope to test out yesterday catching a Lyft from NJ to Queens. Perhaps another time then.
