Looks like Nintendo will soon be moving away from the current iteration of their popular Switch gaming console. According to a recent report from the folks over at the Wall Street Journal, a newer & updated model is coming in 2019.
Unfortunately, the report doesn’t offer a lot of details on what to expect. The two things might turn out to be an improved LCD display and a summer 2019 release date. Nintendo may follow their refresh cycle they used w/ the DS line of portable consoles. As it started out w/ just one but now there are several models – all w/ different things to help them stand out from one another.
Nintendo is aiming for 20 million units sold by next March. We shall see if they can pull it off. I guess its a good thing I didn’t pick one up if this turns out to be true.
