Earlier this morning, the folks over at HP unveiled the new hardware that they’ve been working on w/ the Spectre Folio. This is a different-looking 2-in-1 as they took an unseen approach w the design.
The Folio offers a true leather exterior w/ a magnesium frame interior that closes like a magazine would instead of your typical laptop. In regards to the specs, we got a 13.3inch FHD touchscreen display w/ Intel’s W1 panel for better battery usage, an 8th-gen Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 2TB SSD, and up to 18-hour battery life. HP retains the aluminum keyboard w/ a glass trackpad, Bang & Olufsen audio, and LTE option. In tablet mode, the Folio offers stylus support & more than 4,000 levels of sensitivity.
Pre-orders for the Spectre Folio kick off today as it will be exclusive to Best Buy & HP’s site due out on the 29th. The Core i5 model starts at $1,300, the Core i7 model starts at $1,400, and the Core i7 LTE version starts at $1,500. There will even be a 4K display version coming before the year is out.
