Earlier this week, Samsung unveiled a new solid state drive or SSD to their inventory.  Meet the Samsung 860 QVO SSD: storage built on their 4-bit multi-level flash architecture that retains a 2.5inch form factor to fit most laptops + desktops.

This is using new SATA technology that boosts the performance of it but not the price along w/it.  In regards to that boost in performance, the QVO SSD is giving you read/write speeds of up to 550MB per second thanks to an MJX controller as well as a faster host system communication.

The new SSD arrives on December 16th through Samsung themselves, Amazon, and other 3rd-party retailers.  The 1TB starts at $150 and goes up to 4TB in size as it also comes w/ a 3-year limited warranty as well.

Is this something you’re looking to add to your PC or Hackintosh?
