Yesterday, Elon Musk made an announcement via Twitter that would make getting a Model S or a Model X a lot more expensive.  They’ll be discontinuing or getting rid of their 75 kWh battery option for their 2 top-tier vehicles.

With them getting ditching that capacity battery, you’ll have to grab the only option left: the 100 kWh capacity.  This would make the starting price for the Model S $94,000 from the $76,000 it was and the Model X starting at $97,000 from the $82,000 it was.

The new pricing will put a bigger gap between the Model 3 and the S + X.  This also brings the flagship vehicles down to engine option.  But you do have a window to order one before the new pricing kicks in.  It is a pretty small one though.  You got until Sunday evening as Monday the new price points go into effect.

This bit of news puts me a lot further away to Tesla ownership.  I like the Model 3 and closer to affording that but prefer the space & features of the Model S instead.

I doubt anyone is excited for the new changes in Tesla pricing but what’re your thoughts on it?
