While other companies are getting ready for MWC reveals, new reports show Google is working on some new things coming for the Spring and later for 2019.  We’re getting more than just 3 pieces of hardware this year.

  • We already knew about the Pixel 3 Lite from previous leaks.  It is shaped up to be a 5.6inch IPS display, plastic body, Snapdragon 670 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.  The Pixel 3 Lite would be priced lower than the iPhone XR that carries a $749 price tag.  Rumors also slate that the Pixel 3 Lite & Pixel 3 XL Lite is coming to Verizon this spring as well as overseas in emerging markets.
  • Next up, we got the Pixel Watch finally set to arrive in 2019.  It was originally supposed to come last year but was delayed to wait for a better Snapdragon chipset to handle better battery life – allegedly.  Hopefully, it will arrive w/ a standout feature to draw people in.  Especially after the Apple Watch Series 4.
  • Next up, we have a much-needed refresh for the Google Home.  It is now running on 3 years old and a newly designed model coming later this year.  We don’t know much about it as we can assume new software features and improved audio quality.  I hope it looks pretty good.
  • And lastly, there’s word of a new Google Wi-Fi camera.  We say Google camera because Nest folded into Google last year.  Not sure who would get the name: Google or Nest.  Along w/ the naming, we’re expecting updated internals & better software features.

Along w/ all of this, we got a Pixel 4 coming this year as well – hopefully w/ 6GB of RAM or more.  Rumors said Google would be ramping up on their hardware side for 2019.  Looks like it begins here.

What’re your thoughts on all of the new hardware possibly coming this year?
