Just when you think Teslas can’t get more interesting and then this happens. Last week, Tesla unveiled 2 new models coming to all of their EVs w/ Dog Mode & Sentry Mode.
Dog Mode allows you to leave your pets in the car at a comfortable temperature + utilize the center console display to let those passing by know that you’ll be back shortly. Just hit the DOG option within the climate control settings and you can adjust the temp from there.
Now Sentry Mode acts as more of an additional security measure. It uses exterior cameras to monitor movement for outside threats. For small threats, it will record video and a notification on the dash. In the event of a smashed window, the display ups its brightness and music is played at max volume on top of the alarm going off. Sentry Mode needs to be activated to work as it can download the video to a USB drive.
The update started rolling out last week in the US for Model 3 vehicles and the Model S & X cars built after August 2017.
Loving the new features added into the mix. What do you think about them?
