Well this batch of news was unexpected – for the most part.  According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we got a lot of new details for new hardware coming to Apple in 2019.  Dare I say enough to actually get excited for them.

Let’s start w/ the new iPhones.   We looking at the same 3 screen sizes of 5.8inch, 6.1inch & 6.5inch iPhones and retaining of Lighting instead of going USB-C.  The 2019 iPhones will offer new things like a frosted glass casing (Like the Pixel 3 design), larger batteries w/ reverse wireless charging, ultra-wide band radio for indoor navigation, improved Face ID, and 3-camera setup on the rear for one of them (probably the iPhone 11 Max).

We have the return or long-awaited update to the iPod Touch.  Not much is known about this other than it probably won’t offer Touch ID or Face ID as a feature.  Probably to keep costs down.  We expect new internals to speed things up though.  We’re already expecting an updated iPad mini but we’re gonna see a larger base iPad going from 9.7inch to 10.2inch w/ smaller bezels.  Also, 2 new iPad Pros w/ improved internals as well.

Next up, yet another ‘all-new’ MacBook Pro design as the last one kept having issues. The new flagship MBP would be a 16 or 16.5inch model.  Been a while since we’ve seen a larger MacBook – since 2012 to be exact.  Along w/ that, the 13inch model will get more powerful w/ support for up to 32GB of RAM currently only reserved for the 15.6inch model.

And lastly, the long-awaited modular Mac Pro is coming this year that’s easy-to-upgrade.  This will also bring forth their own monitor display to finally replace their older one.  It will be a 31.6inch 6K display w/ mini LED backlit for high-end image quality.  This would be a great upgrade to their approved 27inch LG UltraFine 5K monitor.

Did we mention that we’re supposed to get new Air Pods w/ wireless charging support along side the elusive AirPower wireless charger finally?  Yeah, all of that is supposed to be coming as well.

Its been a while I’ve been genuinely excited for Appel products as this bit of news kinda restores the feeling.  Which product are you looking forward given everything mentioned here becomes true?
