Looks like Apple is coming back around to some of their older devices for a refresh.  First, the MacBook Air and now it looks like the iPad Mini is next.  Based on new reports from Macotakara, we’re getting the 5th-gen iPad mini – finally.

The new one will offer a familiar or damn-near the same design.  Where it will maintain 7.9inch Retina display, the Lighting port, Touch ID, 3.5mm headphone jack, and powered by a new A10 CPU (not sure if its A10X or standard A10).  The rear mic will move to the center like on the most recent iPad.

No word on whether or not it will have Apple Pencil support.  It would be nice if it did though.  This will be a welcome refresh as the 4th-gen iPad Mini came out back in 2015.  The price point is said to be lower side as there won’t be any big changes to the hardware.

Anyone looking to pick up a refreshed Mini?
