With Mobile World Congress creeping around the corner, Samsung is prepping a big event on their own outside of MWC.  We’re on the cusp of the 10th anniversary of the Galaxy S-line of smartphones.  In regards to the S10 and all of the devices coming, its been leak-city – like seriously.  We pretty much know everything about the phones in regards to the specs (not all of the features but the specs sheet) as well as what the accessories are coming along w/ it.  We got the gist of what’s coming for the most part.  Let’s dive into it all below.

Galaxy S10E/Galaxy S10/Galaxy S10 Plus

So we’re looking at multiple versions of the Galaxy S10 this year.  We got a budget, regular, and plus versions.  All 3 versions are armed w/ either an Exynos 9820 or a Snapdragon 855 CPU, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, fast wireless charging, and a dedicated Bixby button.  The S10E & regular S10 offer 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM/256GB of storage options.  The S10 Plus offers the 3rd option of 12GB of RAM/1TB of storage.  All 3 will offer Prism White, Prism Green, Prism Black color options as the 10E adds Canary Yellow and the S10 Plus adds Luxurious Ceramic Black and Luxurious Ceramic White.

The budget version is made to go against the iPhone XR w/ a slightly lower resolution screen and ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader.  We’re looking at a 5.8inch Super AMOLED display w/ 2280 x 1080 resolution + Infinity O hole punch for selfie cam, the Power button on the side that doubles as a fingerprint reader, and a rear dual camera setup of an f/1.5 12MP w/ wide-angle Dual Pixel Dual Aperture w/ OIS + f/2.2 16MP ultra wide-angle shooters.  Supposed to be priced slightly below that of the iPhone XR.

The standard S10 (6.1inch screen) and the S10 Plus (6.3inch screen) offers a Super QHD AMOLED Infinity Display w/ 3040 x 1440 resolution + Infinity-O hole punch for selfie camera, in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a 3100 mAh (S10)/4100 mAh battery (S10 Plus) w/ reverse wireless charging, and a rear triple camera setup of an f/1.5 12MP wide-angle Dual Pixel Dual Aperture w/ OIS/f/2.2 16MP ultra-wide lens/f/2.4 12MP telephoto lens w/ OIS + autofocus.  The S10 has an f/1.9 10MP front-facing camera capable of 4K video + OIS + AF.  The S10 Plus has the same f/1.9 10MP lens but adds an f/2.2 8MP w/ Live Focus, AF, & 4K video.

Galaxy S10 X or Galaxy S10 5G

Now, what the hell is this one?  This might be something that may or may not come to light.  Rumors have the top of the line Galaxy S10 Plus but w/ a massive 6.7inch AMOLED display, a total of 6 cameras, a 5000 mAh battery, and additional 5G support.   So this would be their biggest smartphone to date if these specs turn out to true – as well as the biggest battery.  This will definitely be ambitiously priced so prep your wallets if this is real.

Folding Galaxy Device

With 2019 being the year of the 5G and the folding phone, Samsung will be showing their take on the flexible tablet/smartphone.  The most recent rumors have a 7.3inch tablet that folds into down to a smaller sized 4.5inch device.  It is supposed to have 4 cameras on the back & 2 in the front as well as being 5G-ready for whenever carriers really start rolling out 5G speeds.  The price tag on this thing is gonna be nuts BTW so be prepared.

Galaxy Buds

We’re expecting new and improved wireless earbuds from Samsung to replace the Gear Icon X earbuds.  We don’t know much details on this one as we can assume Bluetooth 5.0 support and improved battery life from the previous model.  We do know that its case will support wireless charging and the S10’s reverse wireless charging.  No rumors on the pricing though.

Galaxy Watch Active

We’re getting a new smartwatch from them this year as well.  However, it won’t offer the navigation bezel that we’re used to from their Tizen-powered smartwatches.  It will be called the Galaxy Watch Active and offer a 1inch round display, 4GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC payments and a new Bixby Reminder feature.  Not sure if this will be a better replacement for the current Galaxy Watch but we’ll see.

Galaxy Fit/Galaxy Fit E

The Galaxy Gear Fit hasn’t been updated in quite some while as its time for something new-and-improved.  While the info behind this one is fairly new, we don’t have any real details about it other than the name and the image.  The Gear Fit 2 was actually pretty good as, hopefully, they continue it here.

The only thing really missing here is availability details for the Galaxy Home but we’ll see if it actually ready or not.  Galaxy Unpacked for 2019 takes place later this week out in San Fran.  We won’t be in attendance but we’ll be home in Jersey covering everything that becomes official.  Which product are you looking forward to or just the S10?
