Kicking off Apple’s Showtime event is the news.  No, seriously.  Apple unveiled their news news subscription service dubbed Apple News Plus.  It is a premium service as they will be charging a monthly fee for you to access it.  Let’s get into what it comes with.

This will add over 300 magazines to its news app which will include ones like The Atlantic, Fast Company, Esquire, Men’s Health, Rolling Stone, and The New Yorker to name a few.  This will also include the Wall Street Journal w/ a special curated collection for News+ users.

Apple focuses on privacy as they won’t allow advertisers to track you or what you’re reading.

So for $10 per month, Apple News Plus wants to be your one-stop shop for all of your news & articles digitally.  Apple does add that it would cost you over $8,000 per year to subscribe to all of the magazines separately so you would save a lot $$$ to take it all in.  But this would only really apply to those who still subscribe to magazines like that as most people get their news from free online sites these days.

Apple News+ is out now for the US & Canada via update on iOS & Mac devices.  As Australia & the UK will get access later this fall.  For those of you who’re interested, the 1st month is free.
