We knew it was coming as here it is. Say hello to the new Apple AirPods. Apple is hoping to cover their bases w/ notable improvements their customers have been waiting for.
For starters, it is equipped w/ their new H1 headphone chip to allow for Hey Siri support via your voice and improved battery life. It will have the option for a wireless charging case that works w/ Qi chargers. You can only tell the difference between gen 1 and gen 2 by a small LED light for display colors to show off battery life. Speaking of battery life, the new H1 chip gives you an extra hour of juice bringing it up to a 5-hours of juice and gives you 3-hours of juice in a 15-minute charge. As well as faster connection and switching between devices.
The new AirPods will cost you $159 in the standard case and $199 for the wireless charging case. Those of you with the 1st-gen ones can grab the charging case for $79 w/o having to upgrade.
