Yesterday, Verizon announced a partnership w/ the NFL to bring their 5G service to give the fans a better experience.  This is a part of a 2-year agreement as the NFL’s official 5G innovation partner.

This partnership will give the fans 5G-enhanced live NFL games w/ in-stadium video feeds, wireless mobile games + AR (augmented reality) services.  They will also team up w/ developers for new fan apps & experiences.  Members of the Verizon Up Rewards will get exclusive content  at events like the Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, & the NFL Draft.

Verizon kicks off their 5G service in select markets in April for an extra $10 monthly.  At launch, VZW users will only have the Motorola Moto Z3 w/ 5G Moto Mod.  While the Samsung’s Galaxy S10 5G is due out later this year as well.

I’m curious to see what new things will come from this partnership.
