For those of you waiting for the LG G8 ThinQ to arrive, it is ont he way.  Yesterday, carrier announced pre-order details along w/ when it will be available.  Pre-orders kick off today and the phone goes on sale for retails on April 11th.  

Now for the pre-order deals/promos, just about all 4 carriers have them so let’s break it all down.  The G8 ThinQ will cost you $820 at full retail but it will be cheaper via carriers.  T-Mobile is the cheapest at $620 or$25.84 per month for 24 months, AT&T goes for $830 or $27.67 a month for 30 months, and Sprint for $840 or $15 per month on Sprint Flex lease.  Verizon’s promo is a bit detailed compared to everyone else as you can get: 

  • Get up to $450 off a new LG G8 when trading in your smartphone and adding a new line (existing customers get $200 when you trade in your old phone and upgrade to a LG G8).
  • Receive a $200 prepaid Mastercard when you switch to Verizon and purchase a new LG G8 on a Verizon device payment plan and activate the phone on an eligible Verizon unlimited plan.
  • Get $350 off a new LG G8 when you purchase it on a Verizon device payment plan and activate a new line.
    • All three offers can be combined for savings up to $1,000.

The G8 will offer a 6.1inch QHD+ OLED display w/ 3120 x 1440 resolution, Snapdragon 855 CPU, 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage expandable via microSD, dual rear-facing camera w/ a f/1.5 12MP standard lens + f/1.9 16MP wide-angle lens, front-facing f/1.7 8MP selfie + Z Camera for Air Motion gestures + authentication, Android 9.0 Pie, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Boombox speaker, and a 3500 mAh battery.
