Tesla is making sure to keep their momentum from last month going. The company’s CEO announced on Twitter that their next vehicle is set to arrive very soon. Namely, the Model Y SUV being unveiled on March 14th in LA.
For those of you unfamiliar w/ this Model, it will be the Model 3 version of the Model X. So it will be more so a crossover style SUV filled w/ Tesla tech. No word on whether or not the Falcon Wing doors would carry over or not. The Model Y will be 10% bigger than the Model 3 and have a higher starting price point but slightly less range though.
Also this week, we’re expecting to see their 3rd-generation Supercharger. It would be able to charge cars at 350kW or more as currently, they can only do up to 145kW. This is expected to go live on Wednesday, March 6th at 8PM PST/11PM EST.
Model Y, being an SUV, is about 10% bigger than Model 3, so will cost about 10% more & have slightly less range for same battery
