Late last week, we got a chance to check out BMW’s Ultimate Driving Experience over at MetLife Stadium parking lot. We saw it there last year and wanted to make sure we didn’t miss it for 2019. So you go to the site and sign up to schedule an appointment.
The Experience was comprised of 3 sections: Autocross, XDrive, and Street Drives. The Autocross is a closed course where you get behind a 330i w/ a professional driver to do laps around it w/ speed and minimal braking. The XDrive allows you to take an X5 or an X7 up a hill to show off their Advanced Driver Assistance Program. And finally, Street Drives allows you to freely test drive any BMW available for a short period of time.
We did 2 out of the 3 as we just did Camp Jeep at the NY Auto Show so we skipped the XDrive demo. The event as a whole was fun. The Autocross part was cool but I played too much GTA and not Forza so I didn’t get the best experience. As far as the Street Drive, we opted for an X7 but it was an 8-person wait which could take hours. So we went for the new X2 crossover vehicle which we thoroughly enjoyed as well.
This program is already over in Jersey but there are still several stops left on their tour. Next stop is Miami then San Francisco, LA, and then NYC. If you’re in one of the cities, hit the link below to register before spots fill up.
