Earlier today, the folks over at Macotakara dropped a report offering up more details on the upcoming 2019 iPhones. The gist of it read like the new successors to the XS line of iPhones will be bigger, thicker, faster, more cameras, & larger batteries. Let’s dive in for more details.
- So instead of the 5.8inch screen size, Apple is going bigger. This year we’re expecting a 6.1inch size to join the 6.5inch Max size.
- Both phones will offer newer OLED panels as well.
- The Max version will offer a 3rd camera for which its purpose is still unknown. Rumors have it pegged for some AR features but no real evidence of such.
- The phones will be a bit thicker this year as Apple will beef up the battery sizes to support bidirectional wireless charging. This year’s iPhone R version is slated to offer the feature as well.
- The Lightning port will still remain but will finally ship w/ an 18W Lightning to USB-C fast charger.
Other than more rumors saying Apple will go all OLED screens for their iPhones for 2020. That’s about it.
Anything getting you excited about the new iPhones for 2019?
