We finally got the missing piece of the puzzle! Last night during an investor’s event, Disney released more info on their streaming service like the launch date/content and pricing. Here’s what you need to know about the Disney Plus streaming service.
- So its coming on November 12th of this year w/ affordable pricing. It will be $7 per month or $70 for the year.
- Disney will offer Disney+, Hulu, & ESPN+ bundle for a discounted price which has yet to be revealed.
- Its content will be broken down into 5 sections: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, & National Geographic.
- As far as what content will be available at launch. Around 7,500 television episodes and 500 films including blockbuster hits from 2019 and future titles. This will consist of the exclusivity to stream the Simpsons catalog of 30+ seasons, the Falcon and Winter Soldier, WandaVision (Scarlett Witch + Vision series), animated What If series, Making fo Frozen 2 doc, Toy Story-based Forky Asks A Question + Lamp Life, Phineas & Ferb movie, Star Wars Mandalorian series, new season of Clone Wars, a Cassian Andor series (from Star Wars Rogue One), and much more. We already know that a Loki + recently-added Hawkeye series are set to arrive as well.
- The service will be in app form that can be streamed to smart TVs, browsers, game consoles, & mobile devices. You will be able to create profiles, parental controls will be present, will be able to download content offline, and will add 4K HDR support in the near future.
