Also yesterday, Apple made sure to address one of the issues that plagued their more recent MacBook Pros as well as beefing up the internals. However, these updates only apply to the touchbar models of the 13inch & 15inch Macbook Pros.
So the 15inch model starts w/ a 6-core i7 CPU and maxes out at an 8-core i9 CPU. The 13inch model now starts at a quad-core i5 CPU and goes up to a quad-core i7 CPU. In regards to the new keyboards, they’re retaining the butterfly mechanism. But this time around, they’re building a part of the mechanism w/ a new material that should keep the issues at a minimum. For those of you suffering w/ keyboard issues, Apple has their Keyboard Service Program which would fix your issues after making an appointment to get your Mac serviced.
They sound great on paper BTW but if you bought one within the past 3 years, I know you’re cursing Apple out for this move. So more cores, faster SSDs, and a better butterfly keyboard. Basically, this is the Macbook Pro that should’ve arrived 3 years ago but practice makes perfect I guess in regards to fixing problems.
So who’s picking one up?
