We still have a few more months before you can play Google’s game-streaming Stadia platform but we got more details on it.  Yesterday, the Stadia product director, Andrey Doronichev did a AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit and brought some new information to light.

So first and foremost, you won’t be able to utilize Bluetooth audio at launch.  So in the meantime, you’ll have to use the 3.5mm jack on the controller to listen in and be wired instead of wireless.  However, the workaround for this will be to game on your smartphone instead.  This will allow you to use Bluetooth headphones.  But Doronichev didn’t specifiy which Pixel smartphone will be supported at launch.

Next up, we got Pro users getting one free game per month.  It will resemble more so that of PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live perks rather than a Netflix for games situation.  The 1st free game at launch will be Destiny 2.  So if you already own the game on a console, you’ll be able to really see how well it translates & performs on a streaming-only service.

And lastly, Doronichev stated that even if Google abandons Stadia sometime in the future, you’ll still be able to keep and play whatever game you purchased.  However, Google says its super-committed to Stadia.

We’ll see how that all turns out though as Google is notorious for dropping products/services after a while.  I hope this one sticks as I’m looking forward to playing on it.  How about you?
