Oh.  You thought that Qualcomm was saving all of their new chipsets for 2020?  Nope.  Get ready for a new Snapdragon CPU set to arrive on flagship Android devices coming later this year.

Yesterday, they announced the Snapdragon 855+ CPU.  This is an improved version of the current 855 processor out now to better handle the new tasks of today as well as the future.  The CPU side gets a boost from 2.84GHz up to 2.96GHz – as well as a 15% GPU boost.  This will still be equipped to handle 5G connectivity as well.

We can definitely expect to see this inside of the Pixel 4, Note 10, ASUS ROG Phone II, and whatever other flagships drop this year as well as whatever drops early next year.

So who’s looking forward to seeing how the new Snapdragon will perform?
