Now for the what some of you have been waiting for – one of the stars of today’s Apple event: the new iPhone. In this case, the iPhone 11. It is now official as the name known as the iPhone XR is no more and this now takes its place.
Colors + Cameras
The new iPhone 11 retains a lot of what made the XR great but adds some new things to the mix as well. It still has its 6.1inch Liquid Retina display and the notch in the front. What’s new is the new A13 Bionic CPU inside, better IP68 water-resistance, faster Face ID, and 6 new colors of purple, green, yellow, black, white and PRODUCT(RED).
Of course we gotta talk about the new shooters on-board. It has a f/1.8 12MP wide angle sensor and adds a new F/2.4 12MP ultra-wide sensor capable of 2x zoom. You got the long-awaited Night Mode, mono portrait shots, and portrait mode for pets. The front camera is a wide-angle 12MP TrueDepth sensor capable of landscape shots and 4K video @60fps + slow-motion as well. Apple made sure add more dynamic range across both front + back shooters too.
The new iPhone 11 will arrive in 64GB/256GB/512GB storage options starting at $699. Pre-orders kick off at 8AM EST/5AM PST this Friday and will ship around September 20th. Is this the new iPhone you’ve been waiting for?
